Get your boots on and hit the path there’s not much else that can compare!Glacier Gorge (Estes Park) is a total 9.6 mile trail that is ranked as “moderate to strenuous” with a trailhead elevation of 9,200 feet climbing to a top elevation of 10,600 feet. The trail type is out-and-back and showcases spectacular scenery and alpine lakes.Bergen Peak (Denver) is a total 9.2 mile trail that is ranked as “moderate to strenuous” with a trailhead elevation of 7,700 feet climbing to a top elevation of 9,700 feet. The trail type is out-and-back and showcases wildlife and excellent views from the summit.Longs Peak (Estes Park) is a total 14 mile trail that is ranked as “strenuous” with a trailhead elevation of 9,400 feet climbing to a top elevation of 14,225 feet. The trail type is out-and-back and takes you to the highest point in the county.Arapaho Pass Trail to Lake Dorothy (Nederland) is a total 6.4 mile trail that is ranked as “moderate to strenuous” with a trailhead elevation of 10,200 feet climbing to a top elevation of 12,200 feet. The trail type is out-and-back and is considered as one of the best rails in the wilderness area for viewing wildflowers.Chasm Lake (Lyons) is a total 8.4 mile trail that is ranked as “moderate to strenuous” with a trailhead elevation of 9,200 feet climbing to a top elevation of 11,800 feet. The trail type is out-and-back and is nestles between Mount Meeker (13,911 feet) and Longs Peak (14,225), the two highest summits in the Rocky Mountain National Park.Bear Peak (Boulder) is a total 7.4 mile trail that is ranked as “strenuous” with a trailhead elevation of 6,100 feet climbing to a top elevation of 8,400 feet. The trail type is a loop and showcases stunning vistas and summer blooming wildflowers.Aiken Canyon (Colorado Springs) is a total 4 mile trail that is ranked as “moderate” with a trailhead elevation of 6,480 feet climbing to a top elevation of 6,840 feet. The trail type is a loop and the immediate area is home to wildlife such as bear, mountain lion, bobcat, and (watch out) rattlesnakes.Fort Collins and the Poudre River Valley Area Campgrounds (Fort Collins) is not really a dedicated trail, per se, but a total of 15 separate campgrounds that are used for hiking, four-wheel driving, fishing, mountain biking, water sports, horseback riding and more. You’ll be sharing the area with a lot of other nature enthusiasts, so remember to enjoy it together just as it was master-planned to be enjoyed!
