The Real Estate and Housing Market in Colorado
The real estate and housing market in Colorado had strong sales over the summer. This was particularly true for the higher end markets. The mid-level markets also did fairly well. Both June and July proved to be great months. Since Colorado only had a modest spring, the strong sales came as a bit of a surprise.
Colorado has a reasonably strong economy, which seems to be playing an important role in their market. They are showing signs of stability when it comes to prices. However, this does not mean that Colorado’s housing market is completely out of trouble. Real estate sales are still on the mend. Like everywhere else in the country, foreclosure rates are still at a high-level.
Despite the high-level of foreclosures, there is still a demand for houses in Colorado. This drive in real estate activity is due to a number of factors. For one thing, many consider the state to be the ideal place to live. The diverse job base attracts a lot of people. Along with that, the state has great schools and fantastic weather. It also presents lots of opportunities for people to participate in outdoor activities. All of these factors attract home buyers.
